It’s will be a delicious reunion at Central Fire Station when Sam Clark brings his former mentor, teacher and The Hilton’s Culinary Director Des Harris to Hawke’s Bay for F.A.W.C!.

Widely regarded as one of New Zealand’s most prominent and personable chefs, Des Harris has led some of the finest kitchens in the country over a 25-year career, gaining countless accolades from restaurant critics and media alike.

It was in one of these kitchens – at Auckland’s legendary fine dining establishment Clooney’s – that Des Harris became mentor to Central Fire Station’s Sam Clark.
As Executive Chef and Head Chef respectively, Des and Sam were a formidable force in the kitchen, with Metro Magazine saying they created “extraordinary dishes that start from simple ingredients and end up in places you could barely imagine”.

For one night only, F.A.W.C!ers have the opportunity to see Sam and Des back in the kitchen together. Prepare to be wowed during this six-course degustation, with three meals each from Des and Sam, served alongside four Hawke’s Bay wines.

Ticket price includes six courses and four glasses of wine. Additional beverages can be purchased on the night.

F.A.W.C! is a series of exceptional food and wine experiences set in stunning locations in Hawke’s Bay. Running twice a year, F.A.W.C! is a chance to get up close and personal with chefs and food producers, wine makers and the clever people that make up the New Zealand food and wine scene. F.A.W.C! Summer Series runs over November 4-13.
